Supervising inspection of passenger and freight rolling
stock
Ensuring brake systems, couplers, bogies and suspension
are safe and functional
Preparing inspection reports and recommending repairs
Monitoring workshop, shed and yard activities for
compliance with standards
Guiding junior staff and skilled workers on best
maintenance practices
Mistry & Skilled Staff (C&W Fitter,
Coach Builder, Welder, Wireman, Fitter Mech. & Elect. Diesel)
Carrying out mechanical and electrical repairs on
carriages, wagons and diesel locomotives
Performing welding, fabrication and fitting jobs as per
railway specifications
Assisting in overhauling of engines, bogies and
associated components
Maintaining safety tools, equipment and workshop
