Lahore Electric Supply Company Limited (LESCO), a licensed public utility under the Companies Ordinance 1984, is responsible for distributing and supplying electricity to more than 6.88 million valued consumers across Lahore, Kasur, Sheikhupura, Okara, and Nankana districts. LESCO employs over 19,000 people and operates within a large, high-demand power distribution environment where reliability, system stability, and customer service are critical.

LESCO has invited applications from qualified, result-driven professionals for multiple roles on an open contract basis (lump sum market-based package) through M/s Open Testing Service (OTS). These roles include:

Assistant Manager (PSA / Application Development)

Assistant Manager (Communication / Network)

Assistant Manager (OPS & CIS Support)

Senior Engineer (Planning & Engineering / System Planning / System Protection & Testing / Protection Instrument System / AMI System)

All of these positions are based in the LESCO operational region (Punjab) and are offered initially with a six-month probation period. The positions are non-pensionable and will not convert into permanent posts, but they provide an opportunity to work in a structured, high-impact power distribution company where exposure to cutting-edge grid systems, automation, IT platforms, and AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) is part of day-to-day work.

These LESCO jobs are ideal for candidates in software development, application support, communication networks, IT operations, SCADA/AMI systems, system planning, grid protection, and utility engineering who want to work in a major public-sector power utility.

Senior Engineer may be placed in one or more of the following domains based on organizational need:

Planning & Engineering

System Planning

System Protection & Testing

Protection Instrument Systems

AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) Systems / Smart Metering

🔌 These engineering roles are central to improving grid reliability, loss control, power quality, and automation. Experience with distribution protection schemes, feeder automation, SCADA integration, and meter data telemetry is highly valuable.

📄 Nature of Appointment

All posts are offered strictly on an open contract, with a six (6) month probation period.

These roles are non-pensionable and carry no promise of long-term retirement benefits.

They will not be converted into permanent positions at a later stage.

💰 Salary / Pay Structure

Market-based lump sum package.

You will be paid as per approved package, not as per standard government basic pay structure, even though “Equivalent to BPS” is shown for level comparison.

🧾 Testing & Processing Fee

Recruitment is being handled by M/s Open Testing Service (OTS).

OTS will charge 50% of the application fee from each applicant, and LESCO will cover the remaining 50%.

Each candidate will pay Rs. 80/- (test fee) per post.

Fee is to be deposited via prescribed Bank Challan (Bank Alfalah, HBL, ABL, etc. as per OTS instructions).

🎓 Academic Requirements

Only candidates who have completed their degrees are eligible.

Candidates awaiting final results, provisional results, or in-progress degrees are not eligible.

The required minimum standard is usually:

At least 60% marks in annual system or

At least 2.5 / 4.0 CGPA in semester system

from HEC-recognized institutions.

🧑‍💼 Experience Requirements

Where experience is mentioned, it must be in the relevant area (software, network, CIS support, electrical system planning, protection, etc.).

Only post-qualification experience counts. Internships before degree completion typically do not count.

🪪 Professional Registration

For engineering roles, PEC registration is generally expected.

For computing / IT roles, professional registration with national IT bodies (if applicable) is an additional plus, but the ad clearly states:

Step 1: Online / Offline Registration ✅

Visit the Open Testing Service (OTS) website at www.ots.org.pk.
From there:

Register yourself, or log in if you already have an OTS account.

Fill in the online application form for the relevant post in LESCO.

Enter accurate personal, academic, and experience details.
⚠️ After submission, no changes will be allowed — so fill carefully.

Step 2: Dispatch Hard Copy via Courier 📮

After you’ve filled the OTS form and paid the fee:
You are required to send a complete physical application dossier to OTS. This includes:

Duly filled application form (generated via OTS portal)

Paid copy of the bank deposit slip / challan

Copy of CNIC

Copy of domicile certificate

Copies of all educational documents (degree + transcript/mark sheet)

Experience certificates (must clearly state job title, duration, and nature of duties)

Two recent passport-size photographs 📸

Proof of professional registration (where applicable)
