Position Overview:
Pakistan Railways invites eligible candidates to apply for various positions
under its PSDP Project for the “Procurement/ Manufacture of 230 Passenger
Coaches” at the Pakistan Railways Carriage Factory in Islamabad. The positions,
namely Certified Welder (PPS-04) and Skilled Welder (PPS-02), are purely
contract-based, offering candidates a chance to work on one of Pakistan’s
largest rail projects. These jobs are crucial for the development of new
passenger coaches for the Pakistan Railways network, and the selected
individuals will play a vital role in the successful implementation of this
project. The contract is initially for two years, with the possibility of
extension based on performance and project needs.

Eligibility Criteria:
General Requirements: Applicants must meet the specific
education and experience criteria outlined for each position.
Age Limit: Candidates must be between 18-25
years of age, with a relaxation of up to 5 years for male applicants.
Experience: Relevant professional experience is
required, with a preference for candidates trained in welding from recognized
institutions.
Age Relaxation:
General Age Relaxation: The upper age limit is relaxed
according to government rules.
Scheduled Castes/Buddhist Community, Sindh
Urban/Rural & Baluchistan Candidates: Additional 3 years of age relaxation.
Ex-Servicemen: Age limit extended by 15 years or the
number of years served in the armed forces, whichever is less.

the Assistant Personnel Officer, Pakistan Railways Carriage Factory, Islamabad.
