2026 – GIS, Motion Graphics, Survey & Support Vacancies (Project-Based)
The Punjab Forest
Department (GIS LAB), under the development project “GIS-Based
Protection Regime and Establishment of Digital Communication Cell in Forestry
& Wildlife Department,” is hiring on a purely
contractual basis for the project period. Openings
include Assistant
Director Remote Sensing & Image Processing (PPS-7), Motion Graphics Artist
(PPS-7), GIS Assistant (PPS-5), Assistant Procurement In-charge (PPS-4),
Surveyor (PPS-3), Driver (PPS-3), and Lab Attendant (PPS-1). Work locations are anywhere in
Punjab (except the Motion Graphics role, which is Lahore-based). Applicants must be domiciled in Punjab and apply online via the official portal, then courier
hard copies to the GIS LAB office in Lahore by the stated deadline.
Assistant
Director RS & Image Processing (PPS-7)
Lead remote
sensing workflows: satellite image acquisition, pre-processing,
classification, change detection, and accuracy assessment.
Build geospatial products for forest cover, fire risk, illegal logging alerts, and wildlife
corridors.
Desired exposure: QGIS/ArcGIS,
Google Earth Engine, Python/ModelBuilder, and reporting
dashboards.
Motion Graphics Artist (PPS-7)
Create impactful animations,
explainers, and social creatives for the Digital
Communication Cell.
Strong command of After
Effects, Cinema 4D, Photoshop; ability to translate technical
forest/GIS data into engaging
visuals for the public. 🎬
GIS Assistant (PPS-5)
Support data digitization,
map production, geodatabase management, GPS data cleaning, and
basic spatial analysis.
Familiarity with RS & GIS
tools, cartographic standards, and metadata is important.
Assistant Procurement In-charge (PPS-4)
Handle procurement
files, vendor coordination, typing & documentation, and
maintain audit-ready records per government rules.
Good MS Office skills
and attention to detail are essential. 🧾
Surveyor (PPS-3)
Conduct field surveys,
collect spatial attributes, assist in ground-truthing,
and support map updates.
Driver (PPS-3)
Safely drive for official
field visits across Punjab; maintain logs and vehicle
upkeep. 🚗
Lab Attendant (PPS-1)
Assist with equipment
handling, sample management, and lab housekeeping.
