Information Technology Board (PITB) invites applications from qualified,
energetic, medically fit and self-motivated professionals for a wide range of contract-based positions under Code
MP008-2025. Roles span core software engineering, data &
analytics, product/program management, DevOps, networks, IT support, UI/UX, and
operations—posted across multiple
districts in Punjab with several head-office positions in Lahore.
Role
Highlights & Preferred Toolkits (to help you self-assess)
Software & Senior/Principal Software
Engineers (Lahore HQ): Modern stacks such as Java/.NET/Node/Python, RESTful APIs, microservices
basics, RDBMS/NoSQL, Git
workflows, CI/CD, containerization (Docker), testing frameworks (JUnit, NUnit,
PyTest), and documentation (OpenAPI/Swagger).
Generative AI & Data Engineering Expert
/ Data Scientist / Data Engineer: Pipelines on Python/SQL,
ETL/ELT, orchestration (Airflow), model lifecycle, prompt &
retrieval-augmented workflows, data governance, ML Ops fundamentals,
and BI dashboards; libraries such as pandas,
scikit-learn, and visualization suites.
Data Architect / Data Modeler: Conceptual/logical/physical data
modeling, warehousing, dimensional modeling, data quality and lineage,
performance tuning, and security controls.
DevOps Engineer: CI/CD, infrastructure as code, Linux,
containers, cloud/on-prem orchestration, observability
(Prometheus/Grafana/ELK), automated backups, DR drills.
Network System Manager / Programme Manager
(Networks): Routing,
switching, firewall policies, VPNs, wireless controllers, enterprise standards,
and documentation; coordination with district IT teams.
IT Support Officer / Support Assistant: Endpoint configuration, user
provisioning, troubleshooting, ticketing, and field support across districts.
UI/UX Developer: Wireframing, design systems,
responsive layouts, accessibility, usability testing; strong portfolio of
web/mobile interfaces.
QA Engineer: Test plans, regression suites, API/UI
automation (Selenium/Cypress/Playwright), defect metrics, and release quality
gates.
Programme/Project/Operations Roles: Work planning, stakeholder
management, risk logs, vendor coordination, KPI tracking, and governance
reporting.
