WAPDA Internship Program 2025 is now recruiting Electrical/Electronic & Mechanical Engineering, Civil
Engineering, Geological Engineering, Computer Sciences & Information
Technology, Finance & Accounting, Human Resource Management, and Mass
Communications graduates. Organized by the Office of the PSO-Chairman
WAPDA, WAPDA House, Lahore, this eight-week paid internship provides applicants
from all over Pakistan—Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtun, Gilgit-Baltistan,
Balochistan, Azad Kashmir, and Ex-FATA—the opportunity to enhance their
professional portfolio. Under this national program, chosen interns will be
assigned to work with experienced WAPDA professionals in a formal setting,
acquiring hands-on experience in project planning, technical reporting, data
analysis, stakeholder coordination, and communications strategy.
As a new graduate internship with a monthly stipend of PKR
20,000, the programme invites candidates who have a
Bachelor’s degree (not more than three years old), are 26 years or younger, and
have a minimum CGPA of 2.8. This is a great chance for recent graduates eager
to apply classroom theory to actual dams, hydropower, and water management
projects—cornerstones of Pakistan’s energy and irrigation infrastructure.
The Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) is Pakistan’s lead
institution for water resources management and hydropower development. For more
than six decades, WAPDA has provided infrastructure projects—ranging from
multipurpose dams and irrigation canals to powerhouse installations—that
facilitate agriculture, flood control, and national energy security. WAPDA
Internship Program welcomes you to be a part of milestone projects like the
Tarbela Dam Hydropower Stations, Mangla Power Complex, and Diamer-Basha and
Mohmand Dams. At the time of internship, you will:
- Bachelor’s degree in a listed discipline
(awarded within the last three years)
- Maximum age
of 26 years
- Minimum CGPA
of 2.8 (on a 4.0 scale)
- Graduate of
an HEC-recognized university or board
- Valid CNIC
and working bank account

Q: Will completing the internship lead to a job offer?
A: Interns receive a certificate of completion; however, there is no guarantee
of employment upon finishing the programme.
Q: Can I apply if my degree is older than three years?
A: Only graduates within three years of their graduation date are eligible.
Q: Is there any travel allowance?
A: No TA/DA is admissible for interviews or during the internship.
