The Punjab Employees Social Security Institution (PESSI) is a
public-sector organization under the administrative control of the Government
of Punjab. It is responsible for managing and providing social security
benefits to workers and their dependents in various industries. PESSI is seeking
qualified Advocates for the roles of Senior
Legal Advisor and Legal
Advisor on a retainership (fee-based) arrangement.
The selected professionals will provide legal counsel, represent the
institution in courts, and advise on labor law matters for an initial period of
two years, with the possibility of extension based on performance and
institutional needs. These government jobs are based in Lahore.

be an Advocate of the Supreme Court of
Pakistan.
Experience: At least 15 years of active legal
practice, with a strong focus on labor laws.

Eligibility
Criteria:

employment-related regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Senior
Legal Advisor and Legal Advisor will:
Represent PESSI in various courts, including labor
courts, the High Court, and (for Senior Legal Advisor) the Supreme Court.
Offer legal counsel on labor law, social security
regulations, and other relevant statutes.
Prepare, review, and finalize legal documents such as
petitions, appeals, and legal opinions.
Liaise with relevant stakeholders to address legal issues
promptly and effectively.
Attend meetings or hearings, and maintain consistent
communication with the institution’s management.
Stay updated on changes in labor legislation and judicial
precedents that may affect the institution’s operations.
Disqualifications
A candidate will be disqualified if convicted by a
Civil/Criminal Court or if any such case is pending.
Those who do not meet the specified criteria for
practicing law will not be considered.
