to join its team in Islamabad. CPPA is a non-profit organization responsible for electric power procurement, billing, and settlement for Distribution Companies, aiming to facilitate competitive electric market development across Pakistan. Currently, CPPA is hiring for two critical leadership positions: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Chief Technical Officer (CTO).
Position Overviews
Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
As the CFO, you will lead CPPA’s financial operations, focusing on Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), tariffs, and sector-specific regulations. Your core responsibilities will include:
Overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
Ensuring compliance with tax laws and financial regulations.
Managing audits and establishing internal financial controls.
Engaging with regulatory bodies, financial institutions, and Independent Power Producers (IPPs).
Utilizing advanced financial software like Excel, Power BI, and ERP systems for financial modeling and analysis.
Key Attributes for Success: Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, along with expertise in energy sector finance.
Chief Technical Officer (CTO)
The CTO role requires deep technical expertise in power generation, transmission, and distribution. You will focus on aligning technical strategies with business goals and ensuring operational excellence in both conventional and non-conventional power plants.
Core Responsibilities:
Managing energy contracts and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Leading cross-functional technical teams to optimize performance.
Negotiating contracts with IPPs and building strong stakeholder relationships.
Driving technical innovation and fostering collaboration with government bodies and industry partners.
